Program Supervisor
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Recreation Department is seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual. This position requires dedication, hard work, effort, time, and energy. The Program Supervisor oversees daily operations, supervises staff, and ensures the successful delivery of engaging programs and exceptional guest service. This is a full-time position with weekly hours ranging from 32 to 55 per week. Holiday, evening, and weekend availability required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional guest service, demonstrating patience, professionalism, and a passion for fun
- Manage reservations: add programming, oversee bookings, and process charges using the resort system
- Develop and execute year-round engaging programming for guests

- Provide excellent customer service at all times; this position will require patience, a strong work ethic, the ability to level with children, as well as adults, and a passion for having fun
- Maintain knowledge of reservation system to add programming, oversee daily reservations, and charge guests
- Assist in the scheduling, invoice payments, credit card charges, updating check book and corporate groups
- Accurately maintain budget, and independently complete daily closeouts
- Accurately maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies throughout the year; assist in ordering and maintaining inventory for various assigned summer events
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of all Recreation offices, storage areas, and facilities
- Serve as a leader and role model for interns and Recreation staff; provide guidance, task support, and corrective action when necessary
- Must be comfortable speaking on a microphone to large crowds
- Be able to work well under pressure and in circumstances of change, be flexible and able to make quick and appropriate decisions
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate program details, expectations, and updates to the team
- Play an integral part in the KIGR Marathon by taking on a key role
- Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort
- All other miscellaneous duties, as assigned; plan, develop, and implement year-round engaging programming for guests of all ages
- Must be trained and knowledgeable in, each program and service KIGR offers in each division of Recreation – Corporate Events, Lessons, Teen Activities, Kiawah Camps, Art Studio, and The Treehouse Activity Center
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required
- First Aid and CPR certifications are required
- Excellent telephone, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills required; high aptitude for computer programs will be imperative
- Must excel in working both independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. short distances
Must be comfortable working long hours in extreme heat
